CPA presentation: Mr Alex Malley, CEO of CPA Australia

The CEO of CPA Australia, Mr Alex Malley, will talk on business leadership, accounting careers and insights from his Naked CEO series. Students and staff are welcome to attend this public talk.

As CEO of CPA Australia, Alex is responsible for 19 offices globally and more than 139,000 members in 114 countries. Alex is heavily involved in CPA Australia's publishing division, which produces a number of print and online properties including INTHEBLACK, Australia's highest-circulating business magazine. He hosts evoTV's The Bottom Line (screened nationally on Australia's Channel 7 Digital and online), where he has interviewed numerous, high-calibre leaders about their lives and insights into leadership and success. Alex also fronts CPA Australia's online community and reality series, The Naked CEO, which presents students with a real and raw look at professional life, and he is a weekly business commentator on radio 2GB's nationally syndicated program, The Money News.

Prior to his appointment as CEO of CPA Australia, Alex was CEO of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the region's peak professional body for urological surgeons, while serving as President and Chairman of the Board for CPA Australia.

Alex's earlier career was as a university associate professor, where he achieved critical acclaim, winning the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence. He was also a finalist in the National Teaching Awards. Working with the next generation of Australian leaders is something Alex continues to take very seriously, reflected in his ongoing work with universities in Australia and around the world.
